This church was destroyed by fire in 1643, reconstructed in various phases and finally completed at the end of the 19th century ( by F. Dasti and supervised by V. Vespignani).

It consists of three naves which incorporate pre-existing structures from the 12th and 14th centuries. It is well-known for its interior representing the story of the Virgin, painted from 1508-09 by Antonio from Viterbo, known as the ‘Pastura’.
